We are pleased to announce that we are hosting a free Lunch-N-Learn event in Buffalo, NY (venue TBC) on Tuesday, October 3rd, 2017. The session will look at our Loads & Analysis tools within the IES Virtual Environment software (the VE).

Our HVAC sizing tools uses ASHRAE-prescribed methods to generate accurate HVAC Loads for system, zone and room-level sizing.

  • Easy-to-use 3D modeling tool provides visualization of zoning strategies and checking/editing of geometry.
  • Solar simulation is integrated for increased accuracy, leading to more accurate HVAC plant capacities (up to 30% variation compared to older methods & tools) which is a direct benefit to your client and your company.
  • Flexible choice of pre-made templates which are included to speed up the process when accounting for customizable construction and glazing types, and HVAC systems.
  • HVAC loads reports offer a familiar layout and provide a range of engineering checks e.g. cfm/sf and sf/ton.

The event will provide an introduction and demonstration to the VE and the sizing features, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, network with your peers and enjoy a free catered lunch.

What will the session cover?
  • 12:15pm - 12:45pm - Lunch served and overview presentation of IESVE software
  • 12:45 pm - 1:30 pm: HVAC Loads Sizing demonstration
  • 1:30 pm - 2:15 pm: Modeling for ASHRAE 90.1-2013
  • 2:15 pm - 2:30 pm: Q&A with coffee and snacks

The IESVE is a suite of analysis tools used by engineers and design experts across the globe used to test different design options, identify best passive solutions, compare low-carbon technologies, and draw conclusions on energy use, CO2 emissions, occupant comfort, light levels, airflow, HVAC loads sizing, LEED and more.
