Free Manchester Walking Tours
Fri 31 March 2017, 11:00 – 14:30 BST
Free Manchester Walking Tours are the most comprehensive and entertaining introduction to the city of Manchester (#1 Tour in Manchester, TripAdvisor). They are also a great way to meet new people. These tours tell the story of Manchester.
Free Manchester Walking Tours is an independent tour established by Josh. These tours are run on a tips-only basis. I believe everyone should be able to discover Manchester, no matter what their budget. I receive no financial subsidy or support. I ask that visitors pay what they think it is worth at the end of the tour, relative to their budget.

PLACES WE GO TO AND THINGS WE TALK ABOUT:
In our tours we talk about two different periods of Manchester's history: the industrial era, and the post-industrial 'Mad-chester' era. Through a number of interesting and funny anecdotes, we take in the big attractions (Town Hall, Royal Exchange and Free Trade Hall) as well as the lesser known quirks (Vimto Monument, Underground Manchester and Factory Records).
ABOUT JOSH (the guide):
I graduated finished studying at University of Manchester four years ago. I specialised in urban soundscapes, specifically within industrial and post-industrial Manchester. I am from Greater Manchester and I live in Bolton. I otherwise work freelance as a writer in theatre. I started these tours because I wanted to share how there is so much more to Manchester than people expect.
