A programme for Secondary Maths teachers and their departments aimed at developing students' mathematical thinking by the end of KS4.

About this event

A programme for Secondary Maths teachers aimed at, through working on the content, students developing mathematical fluency, reasoning and problem solving. While mathematical thinking is a key feature of all of these, the focus of this Work Group is to support teachers in developing their understanding of mathematical thinking as it relates to problem-solving and reasoning, using practical task types to explore what it means for students to get better at mathematical thinking and what this looks like in the classroom.

The Work Group consists of 4 sessions: 2 x online via Zoom plus 2 x face to face sessions and will include resources being developed for the classroom and activities to trial in departments between sessions *.

Session 1: 22 February 2022: 2.30pm - 5.00pm (Zoom Online)
