FREE Mindfulness For Women Course

Elisabeth from Fresh Thinking Therapy is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist who believes that no one should have to suffer with mental health problems. She is passionate about promoting mental health wellbeing and helping people to manage depression and anxiety. She has nearly 20 years experience working in the mental health and education sectors with organisations such as Creative Support, Anxiety UK, the NHS and ChildLine.
Elisabeth has offered her services to the women already accessing support from the Dress It Forward project and we would like to extend that to all women within the community who would not ordinarily get a chance to attend a free course like this and to whom it will be of great benefit.
This FREE mindfulness course is a basic introduction to mindfulness for those who are new to it. We will learn about mindfulness, try out different techniques and reflect upon them.
PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE NO COURSE RUNNING ON TUESDAY 30TH MAY DUE TO HALF TERM.
Week 1- how mindfulness helps with stress and basic practice
Week 2- slowing things down and mindfulness of breath
Week 3- mindfulness of thoughts
Week 4- mindful movement and taking a break
Week 5- accepting a difficult experience
Week 6- self criticism vs kindness
Week 7- kindness to others
Week 8- review of everything we have learnt.
