Join us for an Introduction to Free Machine Embroidery Evening Workshop with Elnaz as part of our new Thursday Taster Evenings!
Free motion machine embroidery is a fun and creative way to stitch on a machine, often referred to as freestyle embroidery.
Elnaz will introduce you to using the sewing machine with a special free-motion foot attached to guide the fabric through as you stitch youw own unique freestyle designs.
All materials are included and you will leave with your completed embroidered piece.
The course is suitable for complete beginners or those wanting to refresh their skills, no previous sewing machine experience is needed.
Hot drinks and biscuits are included.
To make our Thursday taster evenings as accessable as possible, we have made the tickets as low cost as we can without affecting the quaility of the workshop. If you would really like to attend this workshop but feel you cannot afford the ticket price please contact jen@stitch-up.org.uk as we sometimes have hardship bursary places available.
Stitch-Up CIC is a social enterprise and any profits made are reinvested straight back into delivering our creative community projects supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged people in Leeds to learn new skills and improve wellbeing.
We will also be using this time to gain feedback from participants about what creative activities they would like to see going forward at Meanwood Community Centre so all feedback is greatly appreciated.
There is ample parking available at the Community Centre Car Park. If you cannot fit in the Car Park, please park on the main part of Stainbeck Avenue, with consideration to the residents please do not park in the cul-de-sac.
The Stitch-Up Studio is to the rear of the Community Centre. Once you arrive in reception please follow the signs for Stitch-Up.
