An online training event for those working professionally in care to raise awareness about multiple sclerosis (MS).
Our training will include an overview of MS. Including:

- What causes MS?
- Treatments
- Sharing a lived experience of MS including 'Common myths and misconceptions
Symptoms and health issues that may impact on an individual and how these can be managed
- Common symptoms and issues that may impact on physical and mental health, well-being and independence
MS-UK services and how we can support your client group
- Overview of services MS-UK offer
- Examples of how clients using residential care services and their staff have accessed MS-UK’s support
- The ‘MS community’ landscape
- Overview of other types of MS and neurological issues support across the UK. Looking at charities, support groups, supported exercise and specialist physiotherapy
A personal insight into living well with MS
- A personal journey, insight and experiences of living with MS
Group discussion, questions, answers and conclusion
Don't worry if you can't attend - we will be recording the session and sending it out to all those that have registered afterwards (with exception to the Q&A). If we are fully booked please email register@ms-uk.org and we can send you a copy of the recording. Alternatively you can sign up for one of our more generic MS Awareness free training sessions.
