Free online Art Class with Nicola Corrigan

"Paint in the Style of an Artist", 8 September 2026, 11.00am - 12.00pm UK time

These online art classes include sessions on painting and drawing favourite and memorable objects, flowers and nature. We use photo prompts and share resources for inspiration.

During this workshop you will paint a summer scene or seaside themed painting using blues with bright, vibrant colours. We will look at the work of artists including Picasso, and Chagall.Y ou will see examples and have a tutorial with group class discussion and feedback.

The class will be hosted live on Zoom. Joining instructions with the Zoom link will be sent to you prior to the class.

Please could you have the following items ready for the online class:

• Pencils
• White paper/coloured papers
• An eraser and a sharpener
• Small set of watercolours with a few paint brushes

Workshops are free to attend, however, we welcome donations (suggested donation of £5.00 per session), which will help us continue to deliver this programme and others like it.

Workshops will be delivered by Nicola Corrigan, an artist, who produces original paintings and designs for interiors. Styles range from contemporary and simplistic to more complex artworks. Nicolas portfolio includes artworks along the following themes; Abstracts, Florals, Nautical, Fish, Shells, Seascapes, Boats, Ceramics, Cakes, Cocktails, Valentine, Paisleys, Butterflies, Tattoo art, Harvest, Bunnies and Christmas.

Nicola has over thirty years commercial experience producing work for Illustration, Packaging, Posters, Textiles, Interiors, Fabric, Paper Goods, Tiles and Ceramic Tableware. She produces her own range of printed and sewn textile products and cards.

Nicola designs and paints mainly from her studio in London. Her teaching practice has included teaching textile design and illustration at art schools and university level. Nicola is a qualified teacher and teaches painting and drawing, arts, crafts, sewing, design, literacy and creative writing to adults and children. Nicola paints in gouache, watercolour and acrylics.
