Find out how mindfulness can support people living with pain.

In collaboration with Pain Concern and mindfulness teacher Cath Ashby.

This session is open to people living in Scotland and are aged 18+.


About the session

  • During the 1.5 hour session you will have an introduction to mindfulness and experience a few different practices - mindful eating and a bodyscan.
  • This will allow you to meet the teacher and give you a flavour of the 8-week course starting in Jan 2026.   • This course is experiential and includes time to share and chat with others (sharing is optional and you may wish to journal instead).
  • The course is suitable for people with health conditions as everything will be adapted to suit the group. You are invited to make yourselves as comfortable as possible and the session includes a short break.

About the teacher

Hi, my name is Cath Ashby and I have been teaching mindfulness since 2020. I have felt the benefits of mindfulness in my own life after doing my first 8-week course through an NHS Pain Clinic many years ago.

I am a BAMBA registered teacher (British Association of Mindfulness-based Approaches) accredited with the Mindfulness Association.
