Come to a series of three BPT workshops in collaboration with Brighton Festival.
Step into the world of songwriting. Join us for drama-based workshops, where we'll explore songwriting and lyric writing through games and play.
We'll look at protest songs and social singing. We'll learn about the style and origins of cabaret and you'll get the chance to learn how cabaret music is made, working with a musical composer and a singer.
Come and express yourselves and your feelings about what's going on in the world through lyrics, songs, and music.
Material made in the workshops will contribute to a production,The People's Cabaret, that may come back to Brighton Festival in May 2022.
In Brighton Festival 2021 there will be a work in progress sharing of The People's Cabaret . We have a limited number of free tickets for workshop attendees.
