Come and enjoy a gentle hour of Tai Chi and Qigong in the peaceful setting of Platinum Jubilee Park in Formby. These sessions are relaxed, inclusive and open to everyone – no experience needed. Just come as you are and enjoy moving in the fresh air.
Please note: the park has no facilities – there are no toilets or shelter – so come prepared for the weather. Bring a drink (water or a hot flask), a sun hat if it's warm or a woolly hat and layers if it's chilly. Sessions go ahead in most weather (unless it's unsafe), so dressing for comfort is key.
Parking is limited, so please walk, cycle, or use public transport if you can – the park is just a short walk from bus and train links.
The exercises are done at your own risk. If you have a health condition or you're at all unsure whether this kind of gentle movement is right for you, please check with your doctor first.
There’s no charge, and you don’t need to book – just turning up is wonderful. However, donations are always gratefully received to help support the sessions.
