Making Pasta Dough & Basic Shapes


Make basic pasta shapes such as lasagne sheets, tagliatelle and farfalle.

Please Note: Lunch is not provided however there is a small corner shop and chip shop available within walking distance of the community centre.

Take things to the next level with some tasty ravioli and tortellini shapes.

FREE Pasta Making Workshop

Come join us for a fun and interactive pasta making workshop at the Stargate and Crookhill Community Centre! Learn how to make delicious pasta from scratch with our fantastic tutors guiding you every step of the way. This hands-on event is perfect for pasta lovers of all skill levels. All ingredients and equipment supplied however feel free to bring naything extra along you may want to use!

Please bring a container to transport your goodies home!!

Please Note: Lunch is not provided however there is a small corner shop and chip shop available within walking distance of the community centre.

Participants must be over the age of 19, live or work within Gateshead and have a need/desire to improve maths skills in daily life. One ticket must be booked per attendee. If you are attending with someone else, they must complete their details to receive their own ticket.

Multiply is a new government-funded programme to help adults improve their numeracy skills, for free! Good numeracy skills may unlock job opportunities and lead to higher wages or prepare you for further study. They also help in everyday life, such as helping children with homework and budgeting money. Frequently asked questions

Do I need to bring any ingredients?

No! All ingredients will be provided and you will be given the opportunity to sample dishes in class as well as taking some home to share with your family. We ask that you bring a medium sized container each week so that you are able to safely transport your goodies home!

I want to sign up but I am going to struggle for childcare or travel costs.

Please don't let this put you off! Sign up and leave a comment in the 'any further information?' to let us know if you require childcare/travel and one of our tutors will be in touch to discuss this further with you.

Do I need to pay?

No- all sessions are free to attend for those meeting the eligibility criteria.

I don't meet the eligibility criteria- what can I do?

Just because you do not meet the eligibility criteria for our Multiply workshops does not mean that you are out of luck. Head over to www.mylearningskills.co.uk where you can view all of the courses and workshops LearningSkills are currently running! There's something for everyone, trust us!

What can I do after this course has finished?

Multiply offer a range of courses and workshops from cooking to learning to sell online to preparing for functional skills! At the end of the sessions our friendly tutors will discuss your next steps with you further.
