About this event

Our fully funded FREE Ride Leader development program includes:


  • 1 day ride leader training (classroom and practical)
  • First aid training (post course)
  • Safeguarding training (online post course)
  • DBS check

With 15 years experience tutoring and assessing a nationwide ride leader program, our expert ride leader tutors have developed a well structured course focused on community cycle rides. Our training is suitable for those wishing to inspire riders who are setting out on their cycling journey, allowing them to enjoy cycle rides and develop cycling confidence.

You will learn how to lead and inspire groups to cycle in open public spaces, near water and on public highway confidently and safely.

You will develop key skills such as pre ride planning, basic maintenance, risk management and route consideration and practise riding as a group.


You will need:

A road worthy cycle*

A cycle helmet*

Refreshments and lunch

Spare clothing

*Cycles and helmets can be provided.


Requirements for course entry:

Must be 18 years+

Ability to ride to Level 3 Bikeability / busy traffic environment, however please contact us if you have any queries as further training can be offered.
