Event description

Description

We all have questions about the practical impact of Brexit on our businesses.

This free event will give you the latest update on the progress of Brexit and how it will impact your business from a range of viewpoints: the national perspective; the regional perspective, and the practical and legal perspective.

Speakers will include representatives from the North East LEP, the CBI, and Ward Hadaway.

The event will conclude with an open session to allow you to put your questions to the experts. We aim to close by 10am, but there will be plenty of time for networking and conversation afterwards.

Aimed at senior management in the private sector, this event will give you the latest information on how Brexit is going to affect businesses. It will help you to identify the practical steps your business needs to take and the preparations you should be making.

Schedule for the day

08.00 - 8.30: Registration and networking

08.30 - 10.00:

Sarah Glendinning (Regional Director, CBI) - a national perspective
Colin Bell (Business Growth Director, North East LEP) - a local perspective
Colin Hewitt (Head of Commercial, Ward Hadaway) - the legal and practical perspective

10.00 - 10.30: Close and networking

We will be running a series of events throughout the two years of Brexit negotiations, providing North East business with the clearest picture of the post Brexit world as it emerges. This first event provides a timely update on the issues at this crucial juncture to help you to begin to develop your plans and give you the chance to speak to the experts.
