This is Lancashire Adult Learning course is an introduction to Shakespeare is the most famous playwright in the world, but what do we really know about him and why is he still so popular? In this one off session we will discover Shakespeare's life and times, his plays and what makes them so enduring. We will look at the difficulties people find with Shakespeare and investigate the controversy over the authorship of his plays. We will examine the design of the Globe Theatre and find out what was the favourite snack of the Elizabethan theatre goer.

This course is delivered over 1 session. Once enrolled you will receive details about how to join your online course a few days before the course starts.

Open to anyone aged 19 and above living in Lancashire (not including Blackburn with Darwen and Blackpool)
