About this event

Travel & Outdoor • Hiking

The meeting point for the walk is Meanwhile Gardens, 156–158 Kensal Rd, London W10 5BN (Google Maps: link; What3Words: zoom.locker.each)

In keeping with our mission to spark new connections and friendships in the city, we’ll be taking you on a relaxed social walk along one of London’s best-kept secrets - the beautiful canals of Little Venice.

This special walk will mark the end of the North Paddington Canalside Festival and ahead of the event, you’ll have a chance to visit the pop-up entertainment and browse local stalls before the event.

We will then be kicking off the event in Meanwhile Gardens, next door to the festival at 2pm.

And as always, to help break the ice - we’ll start the afternoon with a mix of fun games designed to get people talking and help you meet some of your fellow walkers.

Once we’re warmed up, we’ll set out on a 2-3 hour stroll along London’s most iconic waterways.

Our route will follow the Grand Union Canal, passing through Paddington and North Kensington, and taking us right through the heart of Little Venice - a picture-perfect spot filled with colourful houseboats and stunning architecture.

We’ll continue on through the greenery of Regent’s Park before finishing near a cosy pub where you can grab a drink, enjoy a bite to eat, and spend more time getting to know your new walking companions.

Places are limited, and this event always fills up fast - so grab your spot while you can!

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL

This walk marks the finale of the North Paddington Canalside Festival - a weekend of community and culture celebrating the next chapter in transforming one of Westminster’s most historic areas.

The festival will take place along the canal (see location), and you can find out more about the full programme of activities happening this weekend by clicking here.

You can find it under the Westway flyover and in the grassy area in front of the Westbourne Park Bus Garage.

Ahead of the walk, we’d encourage you to visit the festival and the pop-up stalls.
