About this event

Sound Sanctuary with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra

Location: Fresh Arts, Humphry Repton Lane (next to Elvin Gardens), Wembley Park

Sound Sanctuary is the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s programme of music-making for mental health and wellbeing in Brent.

In these free, interactive workshops, you’ll get the chance to meet professional RPO musicians and work with others to create brand-new pieces of music and song. You’ll be guided through trying out instruments and developing your own melodies, lyrics, rhythms and styles — all as a way of expressing your thoughts, feelings and emotions.

No musical experience is needed. A wide range of genres will be explored, and all instruments are provided (though you're welcome to bring your own if you already play).

Two sessions are available:

Family Taster (ages 7+) 3.15pm to 4pm (Parents/carers must stay throughout)

Adults Taster (18+) – 4.15pm - 5pm (Supporters/carers must stay if attending with a participant)

Each session is capped at 20 participants (including accompanying adults). Please arrive at the start time — early entry isn’t possible due to limited set-up time.

The venue is fully accessible and we actively welcome participants with disabilities.
