Free St Helier Walk Vingtaine de la Ville

Many visitors think of Jersey as one small island, but few realise the fascinating layers of tradition and identity within its separate parishes. Even fewer ,possibley locals as well , realise each parish is divided into 5 or 6 vingtaines.

Among them, the Vingtaine de la Ville in St. Helier is truly special. Have you noticed the well over 50 striking "blue plaques" (actually grey) scattered around town? Almost all of them belong to this vingtaine, each with its own story to tell.
