Free Stand-up Comedy Course

One Place East (www.oneplaceeast.org) promote equality and inclusion for disabled people, people and those with lived experience of mental health problems through our services and training courses in East London. As well developing the skills of those with lived experience, income from our courses goes back to supporting our core charitable work. We work with Ian Beever an experienced Instructor Member approved by MHFA England to deliver this course.

Free Stand-up Comedy Course hosted by Mark Nicholas (as seen an The Comedy Store, The Glee Club &amp; Backyard Comedy Club)5-weeks of interactive, inclusive, immersive and downright entertaining workshops that will prepare you to perform hilarious jokes in front of a real live audience!Perform alongside a Pro in an LaughAble Stand-Up Comedy Night to friends, family and local punters of the Wanstead Community and even perform !This programme is for Deaf and Disabled People adults or those with lived experience of mental ill-health. Perfect for exploring a career in stand-up comedy or acting. It’s also a safe space people who want to improve their communication or presentation skills for work. What better way to improve your interview skills and confidence than trying stand-up comedy with people like you in a super supportive environment.Participants must sign up to attend the entire programme. Please note that to perform in the Showcase, learners must attend at least 3 out of the 5 workshops.Learning and communication support available if required.Course Dates: •	Saturday 16th September 10.30am – 1.30pm•	Saturday 23rd September 10.30am – 1.30pm•	Saturday 30th September 10.30am – 1.30pm•	Saturday 7th October 10.30am – 1.30pm•	Saturday 14th October 10.30am – 1.30pmShowcase Performance Session •	Saturday 28th October
