About this event

Our second Secrets of London tour starts and ends at Blackfriars station and will take in the most fascinating historical sites the City of London has to offer.

On this two-hour stroll, you will hear the stories of Kings, playwrights, judges, and criminals and walk in their footsteps.

The tour will see the site of the worlds first indoor theatre owned by Shakespeare himself, the place where the reformation began, the oldest surviving hospital in the world and see where some of London’s most gruesome executions took place.

You will hear about the notorious body snatchers known as the ‘Resurrection Men.’ You will pass through an original Tudor gatehouse, see where Lenin used to drink and visit the home of Dr Samuel Johnson.

An unmissable tour lead by a guide with 20 years of experience, this is a must for every history lover!
