The Chinese Kung Fu Institute and Wutian Martial Art Institute are collaborating for the first time in a joint project to promote women self-defence. We give you a structured class specifically designed for women who wish to learn about self defence and personal safety.
You will learn realistic street defence including locks, takedowns, punching and kicking coupled with Wing Chun techniques that do not rely on brute strength but rather play with angles and focus on training the core muscles.
The class will be taught by Jai Chan, a female instructor, who through over ten years of trial and error has compiled only the best portfolio of practical real life self combat techniques and Master Leo Au Yeung, the UK's leading Wing Chun practitioner and choreographer of the movie "Ip Man".
We aim to raise awareness prepare and empower women with practical skills, knowledge and judgement should they find themselves in a bad situation. Start learning how to protect yourself today! All levels are welcome!

Wing Chun is a unique and scientific form of martial arts focusing on close range combat, using quick punches with a tight defence, coordinated through agile stances for a quick advance. It was created for smaller people to fight bigger people by using angles and positions.
The effectiveness of Wing Chun is achieved by well coordinated attacks with simultaneous defence, delivering controlled energy, whilst maintaining flexibility and a relaxed composure. It is the only martial art that was formed by a woman!
In this experience, Sifu Jai & Sifu Leo will teach you internal Kung Fu and self defence allowing you to be able to protect yourself from any attack you may face on the street. Don't forget that it's a lot of fun too and a great way to get fit.
