Event description

Description

Cancer Research UK and the NCDA Scotland partnership invite you to attend a half day workshop focused on approaches to improving the early diagnosis of cancer in primary care.

The event is free and open to GPs from all practices that took part in the National Cancer Diagnosis Audit (NCDA) for Scotland, as well as quality improvement leads in Scotland.

The workshop will provide an introduction to evidence-based quality improvement approaches, and will help you reflect and learn from the results of the NCDA in Scotland, allowing you to understand how to identify areas for improvement, introduce effective changes and monitor their impact.

The event will be led by Dr Bill Taylor (RCGP Clinical Lead for building QI capability) with a number of otehr speakers. There will be opportunities for group work, networking and reflection of how the event content will support your practice.

By the end of the workshop attendees will:

  • Have gained knowledge of Quality Improvement tools and approaches

  • Understand the key National Cancer Diagnosis Audit Scotland results

  • Leave the event with a clear way forward in improving cancer diagnosis

Certificates of attendance will be provided on the day as evidence of CPD
