Just about bearing up?
We hear this type of conversation a lot. We manage, we do okay, we feel like we're bearing up. Why change anything?
Maybe you are managing okay at the moment so why would you want to consider changing anything right now?
What we don't tend to ask ourselves is "How sustainable is this?"
How long can I keep this up?
Often we don't do anything about our health and wellbeing until we reach a point where things have become really bad. We aren't sleeping, we aren't eating healthily, we aren't exercising and we feel tired and worn out.
This is often the point where things can start to fall apart. Sometimes leading to depression and burnout.
We wouldn't jump out of a plane without a parachute hoping for the best so why don't we prepare our minds and bodies for a life which too can feel very turbulent?
If we learn to take better care of ourselves, we will be much more prepared for when life hits a bumpy patch.
Yoga and Meditation are just two things that we can learn to support our overall health and wellbeing. Our wellbeing is connected through the mind and the body. We can't only focus on one and neglect the other - they both have an important role to play in supporting our overall health.
We are really excited to be hosting a FREE Introduction to Yoga and Meditation Session on Sunday 13th Februay 2022 at 5pm.
The session will be hosted by Karan Walsh, a inspirational teacher of Dru Yoga Therapy and Ayurveda Health Coach and San Harper an experienced teacher of Mindfulness Meditation.
During the session you'll be introduced to a short yoga practice and invited to take part in a short meditation practice.
You will need:
Wear loose clothes.
Space to move.
A yoga mat (not essential).
Recommended: A bottle of water.
A blanket.
