COURSE INTRODUCTION

Stress and Anxiety comes in many different forms and can be caused by a number of factors, including, but not limited to...

  • Stress at Work

  • Stress at School

  • Stress in a personal relationship, such as marriage

  • Financial Stress

  • Stress from an emotional trauma, such as the death of a loved one

  • Stress from an illness

  • ...and many more factors.

In this 4-Week "Freedom from Stress & Anxiety" Workshop, designed for small groups of 10 or less, you will be provided with a range of tools, tips and techniques to help you feel more in control of your stress and anxiety and to quieten your mind. You will also be provided with membership to a private Facebook group, to provide you with support, encouragement and advice every step of the way.

We will also have brief, sharing sessions at the end of each week where we can share our own experiences with stress and anxiety in our life. These are optional but it can help both yourself, and others, when we talk about our own struggles.

COURSE CONTENT

Week 1 - Re-Train Your Brain and Healing (Sat 3rd March 11:30am)

We start with a group Hypnotherapy session, focusing primarily on generalised Anxiety to help re-train your brain to remove negative thought patterns. You will then be guided through a gentle healing session using drumming, to help you connect to your inner power. You will be provided with Hypnotherapy and Drumming MP3 recordings, with details of how to use these yourself in your own spare time.

Week 2 - Nutrition and Sleep (Sat 10th March 11:30am)

The foods you eat can make your anxiety worse and can also impact on your sleep, causing insomnia and a lack of physical and physiology recovery time, leading to increased stress levels. You will be provided with advice on which foods to eat more of, those foods to avoid that can trigger anxiety and raise stress, and techniques and strategies to get better quality sleep.

Week 3 - Functional Movement and Breathing (Sat 17th March 11:30am)

This week we will be talking about the importance of movement in helping to control anxiety and stress. The movement does not have to be very active, these are simple movements you can do in your own home. We will also cover breathing exercises that can help to better manage your anxiety and lower your stress.

Week 4 - Mindfulness and Meditation (Sat 24th March 11:30am)

In the final week, we will cover various Mindfulness and meditation practices that you can bring into your daily routine and life. These will included Mindfulness of Difficult Emotions, Mindfulness of the Body and some gentle Mindful Movement, building on Week 3. You will also be supplied with meditation MP3's and a list of useful resources to start your own Mindfulness practice.

TEACHER

My name is Dave McAuley and I am an approved Anxiety UK Therapist, Hypnotherapist with the National Hypnotherapy Society, Mindfulness Teacher, Nutritionist and a Holistic Lifestyle Coach. I also struggled with stress and anxiety through my 20's and 30's and developed a program to help others who are struggling to find more freedom in their life. LOCATION

The location of the course is at the new Woodlands Workspace community space at 66 Ashley Street, Glasgow G3 6HW.

PRICE

The cost of the course is just £25 for the entire 4 weeks. You will get the most benefit if you can commit to attending for all 4 weeks. Please reserve your space as places are limited.
