Are there electric hook ups available?

No, electric pitches have sold out.

A charging point will be available for charging devices.

Question 2

Is this camp exclusively for families with Autistic members?

Accepted Answer

No, our camps are designed to be welcoming and accommodating for all neurodivergent individuals, including those who are Autistic.

Question 3

What ages and ability levels is this camp designed for?

Accepted Answer

Our camps are open to all ages and abilities. We have families attending with children ranging from toddlers to teens. Last year, it was wonderful to see how naturally the children connected and played together, regardless of age.

Question 4

Are activities included in the price, and can we choose whether or not to take part?

Accepted Answer

All activities are included in the price.  In the mornings, we play parachute games and giant bubbles. In the afternoons, we host arts and crafts activities and guided walks. In the evenings, we host yoga/mindfulness and storytelling. You choose to participate in whatever you feel comfortable with.

Question 5

My child tends to wander — how secure is the camp?

We have a private, fenced, and gated field just for our camp. Families are kindly asked to make sure children don’t leave the area without a parent and to avoid letting in guests from other parts of the site. Everyone naturally looks out for each other, but parents are responsible for their own.

Question 6

Can we bring dogs?

Accepted Answer

Yes, dogs are welcome to be kept on a lead or tethered at all times (max 2 per pitch) 
Please clean up after them using the dog waste bins. Dogs are not allowed in the shower/toilet blocks and should be exercised up the access lane, not around the park.

Question 7

My child is an early sleeper and I need to keep them their routine.

We have a designated area for early sleepers; please let us know in advance.

Question 8

My child is terrified of hand dryers and loud noises.

Accepted Answer

All hand dryers are turned off, and we supply the campsite with hand towels. The campsite owner ensures the grass is cut before our arrival and will advise us in advance if any farming work is scheduled. We also do a leaflet drop to the static caravan owners.

Question 9

This is our first time camping, will there be anyone to help us?

Accepted Answer

We have a team of volunteers to help you pitch your tent, fetch water, and bring your family drinks and biscuits on arrival. We have a toy marquee and a chill-out tent for your children to play in whilst you set up camp.

Question 10

My child has been bullied or excluded on previous holidays.

Accepted Answer

We have a zero tolerance to bullying. In previous camps, when conflicts arose, we, as parents, worked together to explain each child's feelings and challenges to our children, fostering empathy and patience. Our children mirrored those values and played wonderfully together.

Question 11

Is there a shop on site?

Accepted Answer

There is a small shop on site. However, it has limited opening times and stock. Bala town centre is a 10-minute drive away with a range of shops and takeaways, a list of which will be included in your information pack posted to you before camp.
