Event description

Description

Freedom to Make is an 8-week knitting and textiles project run by artists Alejandra Picco and Beth Hopkins. Throughout this course participants will be learning about tolerance, patience, change and growth. Participants are encouraged to practice being humble with every stitch, recognising that stitching and knitting involves undoing the path whilst keeping the same tension, rhythm and bravery to encourage change.

Each week participants will be learning a new skill: crocheting, stitching, dying, applique and more. At the end of the project participants will be working together to create a collaborative piece from the works created in sessions, to be shown in an exhibition at Kentish Town Health Centre in 2020.
