Freedom to Run @ Holmes Chapel

Screening of a film about life under occupation in Palestine explored through Palestinian and Scottish runners who run Palestine and Edinburgh Marathons together. After the film we will run a Q&A session with the directors of the film via Zoom where we would allow the viewers to ask questions.

There will be a cafe and bar on site serving drinks and refreshements for purchase.

Freedom to Run is a cultural exchange and documentary project showing how the restrictions on freedom of movement affect life in Palestine. Two groups of runners, one from Palestine and one from the UK get to know each other whilst training for two marathons, one in Bethlehem and one in Edinburgh, Whist in Palestine the UK runners learn about the impact of the restrictions on everyday life for their new found friends and then welcome those friends to Scotland to help them tell their story.
