Don't expect any fancy or high-dining meals as I will be serving non-fussy (but hopefully generous) typical family recipes. Eating, in France and especially in my family, is more than anything about sharing an enjoyable moment at a table, between people who love food, wine and banter.
So on this first edition, the menu will be as follows:
Amuse-bouches: Smoked duck magret with melon and raspberry on a skewer or on toast accompanied by Kir Royal (traditional pre-drink with blackcurrant cream and champagne)
Starter: Cheese soufflés
Main Course: Boeuf Aux Carottes (variation of Beef Bourguignon but cooked with white wine instead of red)
Cheese Board & Bread
Dessert: Mini financiers gateaux duo, with crème anglaise and red fruits
For the first supper club, tickets are free but I'll be passing an enveloppe at the end of the evening for you to donate however much you think the meal was worth.
Last but not least, drinks wise. It's BYOB but I will be making wine recommendations if required, as I am a little bit of a connaisseur (I'm currently taking my WSET Level 3 Qualifications in Wine).
