Fresh Comedy @ Blackfriars returns to Glasgow's OG comedy club on Monday 8th September.
This week's headliner is Billy Kirkwood. Billy is a 5-time Scottish Comedy Award winner who combines a high energy persona with a likeable charm, making him one of the country's most watchable (and unpredictable!) acts. His list of achievements is too long to mention them all here: he has supported the likes of Frankie Boyle, Rhod Gilbert and Daniel Sloss, is the voice of Insane Championship Wrestling, hosts his own radio show, and has appeared on BBC, ITV and several other major broadcasters. Most importantly, he's a very funny man!
This week's support act is Rob Mac an Tuile, a genial Irishman who has made a big splash on the Scottish scene and recently reached the final of Chortle's Student Comedian of the Year Award.
We'll also have short sets from some of the freshest new acts on the scene, all held together by our resident compere Roddy Gordon (who lost to Rob in the Chortle semi-finals, not that he's bitter about it or anything...).
Doors 7.45pm, show 8pm.
