Event Details

Join us for a lunch and a chat with 26 year-old activist Gina Martin, as she talks to Guardian multimedia journalist Iman Amrani.

Martin was at a music festival when she caught a man looking at a photo of a woman’s crotch on his mobile phone. It was her. Enraged and embarrassed, Martin reported the incident to the authorities but was dismissed almost instantly. Since then, Martin has successfully campaigned for upskirting to become a criminal offence, with the law being passed earlier this year.

This event is part of Fresh Voices, which showcases inspirational young people from the worlds of literature, activism, stage, and design.

Complimentary lunch will be provided.
