The Proud Place is Manchester's LGBTQ+ community centre.
We're opening our doors every day during Freshers Week for you to pop in to our community lounge to chill out, grab a brew, play some board games and meet new friends.
Staff from The Proud Trust will be available to answer your questions and signpost you to some of the awsome things happening in Manchester's LGBTQ+ community. You can also browse our library, find out more about the queer history of our iconic building, and how to hire a space for your club or community group.
The Proud Place is on Sidney Street, just around the corner from the Sugden Centre, which is where MMU's freshers fair is held.

- The Proud Place has step free access and an elevator to all floors. - The Proud Place is an LGBTQ+ Centre that also houses The Proud Trust offices, so please be mindful to use gender-neutral language when attending an event here as well as introducing yourself to new people with your pronouns and asking them for theirs!
