Freud on Dreams

This interactive talk will introduce Freud’s theory of dreams and his method for interpreting them.

How are dreams constructed? How can they be interpreted? And what do they tell us about the mind?

Using plenty of sample dreams, we will closely follow how Freud develops his argument in his major work, The Interpretation of Dreams, touching on key ideas such as wish fulfilment; manifest and latent content; censorship; and dream-work.

No prior knowledge of Freud or psychoanalysis is required!
