ART MACABRE presents
FRIDA KAHLO: Pain, Pleasure and Death
Tuesday 15 July, 7-9pm at The Proud Archivist bar and gallery
RIP Frida Kahlo. 60 years after her death, we celebrate the iconic artist's life and legacy. We explore the light and shadows, the different sides of her character and the powerful emotions evoked in her paintings.
Inspired by her self-portaits and diaries, we'll have multiple Frida models taking on different aspects of her character and recreating classic imagery from her imagination.
“pain, pleasure and death are no more than a process for existence. The revolutionary struggle in this process is a doorway open to intelligence”
― Frida Kahlo, The Diary of Frida Kahlo: An Intimate Self-Portrait
Drawing materials included. Paper, pencils, pens and charcoal provided.
£15 on the door. Earlybird discounts available.
Over 18s only. Food and drinks available from the Proud Archivist bar.
