Frequently asked questions
Public parking is available at the top of Upper Cavehill Road. The pottery studio is a 2 minute walk up towards the hill. Someone will meet you at top entrance to the Cavehill Country Park, 5 minutes before hand to direct you to the pottery studio.
All materials are supplied including some images and poetry for inspiration, though you are welcome to bring your own images that are personal to you e.g. family photo, favourite landscape, animal or motto.
Aprons are provided but it is best to wear comfy clothes and shoes that you don't mind getting messy in. As the pottery studio is on Cavehill, the area can at times be mucky.
The event is aimed at adults looking for space and time to create. If your child is over 14 years of age and you feel they are mature enough, then they are welcome to attend if accompanied by an adult who is also participating in the class.
Sometimes we are working with clay that requires time to dry and to be fired in a kiln , therefore work is generally ready for collection 2-3 weeks after the event. I will let you know during the class what date the work can be collected on. Painting and print works can be brought home on the day.
