Friday Onsite & Online Study Sessions Sept 2025 - August 2026

Welcome Back to the New Academic Year of Daytime, Face-to-Face Study Sessions at Turning Point Academy!

Criteria: For all members, start any date

This booking is for the whole academic year - BOOK HERE NO MATTER WHAT MONTH YOU JOIN US :-)

Sessions begin on Friday 26th September 2025 and run weekly in term time from 10.30am-1pm.

10.30-11.30 Small group teaching (purification/prayer/alphabet/Qur'an)

11.30-12pm Light lunch & social time

12pm-1pm Lecture/Workshop (live stream via zoom to registered students)

Prayer in congregation

Please note: We have a professional onsite creche/childcare facility for children under 12 years. Only babies under 3 months are allowed to stay with mums in the teaching rooms.

CHILDREN

Children are welcome to join us in the teaching session this term until attendee numbers are regular.

CRECHE -

The crèche, which is Ofsted regulated, is subject to the number of bookings received. The team provides a very high-quality, professional service, planning activities based on interests and abilities of children who attend. This crèche is kindly sponsored by private donations and is free for our students to use. The cost to TPA is on average £15/session for each child.

Having ticked that you have a child who is attending the creche, we will assume this will be every week the study sessions are on Insha'Allah.If your child is unable to attend a session for any reason, please text as soon as you know, so they can plan staff accordingly.

TRAVELLING TO VESTRY HALL

Vestry Hall is opposite the Cricket Green, London Road, Mitcham, CR4 3UD.

By bus:

A short bus ride from Colliers Wood, Tooting Broadway or Morden underground stations.

118, 127, 200, 201, 280, S1 pass right outside. Get off at Glebe Court or Cricketers stop.

152, 264, 270, 355 get off at Mitcham Fair Green then 2 minute walk along London Road.

By tram:

Mitcham stop (NOT Mitcham Junction) on Tramlink 3 is a 5 minute walk.

By train:

Mitcham Eastfields is a 10 minute walk though Mitcham town centre, then out along London Road towards Sutton.

By car:

Parking is free in local roads around Vestry Hall but extremely busy. For a guaranteed stress-free space, we recommend you park in Canons Leisure Centre Overflow Carpark off Madeira Road, sat nav CR4 4HD. Then a 5 minute wallk though the park to Vestry Hall.

Turn left just in front of the leisure centre entrance. As you enter the park, follow the path round to the right, then left past the bowls club to the exit.

Turn right out of the park onto Cricket Green. Just after you pass Birches House Polyclinic take the footpath to cross the green to reach London Road.
