We are hosting Muslim Prayer sessions every Friday in Domain (first floor of the Students' Union). There will be two sessions for Friday prayers 1pm – 2pm. Doors open 12:45pm.

Arrangements for use:

A number of measures have been put in place to make sure the facilities are as safe as possible. These include:

No ritual washing will be available at this time

If shoes are to be removed for worship, they should be kept in bags in the designated space.

Physical copies of the Qur’an have been temporarily removed. Personal copies or online versions are allowed but should not be shared with anyone else.

Two metres have been used in the layouts of prayer spaces to allow for social distancing, please stick to the allocated spaces.

Please use your own prayer mat.

You must wear a face mask at all times.

Please use the hand sanitising facilities and cleaning wipes available on entering and exiting the facility.

Do not congregate before or after worship and maintain a 2m safe distance at all times - there must be NO mingling before, during or after the event between households.

Students with health conditions are strongly advised to pray at home to reduce the risk of transmission.

Please only attend the facilities if you feel well and are not displaying and symptoms.

Test and Trace:

Please use the NHS Covid-19 Test and Trace app and QR code on the entrance to the facility to check-in to the space. This will ensure that you will be notified if someone who is using the space at the same time as you, tests positive for Coronavirus.

If you do test positive, or have to self-isolate, please remember to follow the Report, Record, Support process.
