How do I get to Warstone Lane cemetery?

Getting here: Train and Tram stops at the Jewellery Quarter Station in Vyse Street , Hockley Bus 8a, 8c and 101 from Birmingham city centre to Chamberlain clock at Warstone Lane walk to Vyse Street, Bus 16 &74 to Great Hampton Street. Car – Multi-storey car park in Vyse Street.

Where do we meet?

Inside Warstone Lane cemetery near the new memorial garden bench's. Warstone Lane cemetery is incorrectly listed as Brookfields cemetery on some modern day online maps.

Do you have facilities in the cemetery

Accepted Answer

A disabled toilet is hired for the Friends of Key Hill cemetery & Warstone Lane cemetery Open Days usually held in July, Sept & Oct. Sorry, there are not any facilities onsite in either Warstone Lane cemetery or neigbouring Key Hill cemetery. There are several, cafe's, bars and restaurants nearby.

What happens if I reserve a place, but unable to make that date

If you later find that you are unable to join us it would be helpful if you let us know either by following the - view and manage your order online link in your confirmation email and then selecting your order or by sending an email www.fkwc.org - this will be passed on to the volunteers.

Will the Friends be conducting tours  for Birmingham Heritage Week?

Yes, cemetery tours will be Sun 8 Sept , Warstone Lane cemetery at 12 noon, Key Hill cemetery at 2pm . On Sat 14 Sept there will be catacomb tours in both cemeteries. View website www.fkwc.org ( not all tour are not yet created)
