Friends International: Christmas Baking Host 1 - for two students
Fri 2 December 2016, 15:00 – 17:00 GMT
Each year we hold a popular baking evening, where you can learn how to make traditional english baked goods (such as cakes, biscuits as scones).
This term we have a Christmas baking evening, when you will have the opportunity to join some local people in their homes (in small groups) and to make some goodies that we usually make around Christmas time, including mince pies and biscuits that are traditional for Christmas. (We won’t be making Christmas cake on this occasion, as this takes a long time to make and cook, so we can’t do this in an evening!). We have a number of different hosts locally who are offering Christmas baking.
Details of this Host and what you will be making:
Ian and Irene Herring can host two students to bake mince pies and biscuits, from 3 to 5pm on Friday 2nd December
As they lives a little way from the university, they are happy to pick up and return students in their car to their accommodation. (NB If you are a student who attends Christchurch and already know Ian & Irene, can we suggest you book to go with a different host).
