Event description

The Friends of St. Thomas' have decided to hold a virtual charity fun run. St Thomas is the parish church in Brentwood Essex. A virtual race is a race that can be run at any location and any time. You can walk, use the treadmill, run outside or participate in another race. You can run your race at your pace anywhere in the world, alone or in a small group.

Choose between four distances: 1k, 3k, 5k or 10k.

Once you have completed your race, submit your results (an image or transfer from your device) to friendsofstthomasvirtualfunrun@outlook.com with your name and address. All submissions must be completed by 1pm on 31st December 2017. You will then be entitled to a beautiful bespoke die cast medal and completion note. Medals will be available from the following weekend to collect from St Thomas'. If you are unable to attend, please email friendsofstthomasvirtualfunrun@outlook.com to arrange a suitable time to collect your medal and certificate.

Your results will be uploaded to our league table so you can compete for the top spot in each category. We will publish the top ten for each distance and the winner in each age group on a leader board on display at the church centre.

All funds raised will go towards preserving and protecting our magnificent parish church. In addition to the general running costs of the Church, funds are required for the preservation of the fabric of the building and the replacement, restoration or repair of major items such as the roof, organ and heating system.
