Friends of the Earth Scotland Summer Weekender
Fri, 14 Jul 2017, 15:00 – Sun, 16 Jul 2017, 17:00 BST
We’re building a strong and diverse climate movement, capable of creating the Fossil Free Scotland we need.
Join us at Friends of the Earth Scotland’s Summer Weekender for three days of ideas and action, designed to leave you feeling inspired, motivated and connected. Our Summer Weekender will be a terrific opportunity to celebrate our successes and plan our next steps, all in beautiful surroundings. There will be plenty of opportunities to network, learn, make friends and share strategies. From campaign updates to yoga, evening entertainment to panel discussions, there’ll be plenty for everyone. We will also have special programme strands for FoES local groups and Young FoES.
Ticket prices include food, accommodation and programme activities.
All tickets are heavily subsidised by FoES. We also have a very limited number of free places for those who couldn't otherwise attend. Please get in touch to find out more: email@example.com
Please pay more if you can
You'll see that there is a donation box in the booking form above. Please consider, if you can, using this box to add a donation to your ticket price. It helps us keep costs low for those that need it, and to offer free places to those who wouldn't otherwise be able to come.
You can also make a donation if you can't come to the Summer Gathering, but you want to support the event.
Access needs, equal opportunities and personal requirements
We have a limited amount of accessible accommodation. We will prioritise accommodating those with access and personal needs in the most suitable accommodation. In order to do this we would be grateful if you could tell us about any access needs or personal requirements when booking. This includes room sharing requirements for guardians and children. Please note that we have a list of B&Bs in the area for those who would like accommodation beyond what our venue has to offer.
Children and Families
Our Summer Weekender will be a family-friendly event and children are very welcome to attend. There will be a dedicated children's space, though children will need to be supervised by their carers. We will also organise a number of fun, adventure-based activities for children, subject to demand.
You will receive more information about travel options and connections once you have booked. As it is a rural area, bus connections are limited, especially on Sunday. We will be arranging shuttle service to and from Biggar to accommodate this. If you are travelling by car and can offer a space to others, please tell us on the booking form. If you are interested in sharing a lift from someone else, please also mention this when booking.
If you have any questions, please get in touch: firstname.lastname@example.org
Thanks to @Lawrence_Cheuk for the great photo from last year's Young Friends of the Earth Europe Summer Camp.
