Event description

Description

Why do we have nightmares, and what can we do about them? Join psychologists and filmmakers to delve into the world of night terrors, sleep paralysis, lucid dreaming and more in an evening hosted by Guerilla Science.

Artist and producer Carla MacKinnon shares her own experience of sleep paralysis with a screening of her award-winning experimental short documentary Devil in the Room, which evokes and explores the worlds between sleeping and waking.

Discover how to can gain control of your dreams through techniques like lucid dreaming with Dr Josie Malinowski, Lecturer in Psychology at the University of East London. Learn how to direct your own dreamscapes and navigate nocturnal meditations as you delve in the human mind.

Make a sleepy teabag to take away, drawing on herbal and orthodox medicine to create your own blend of night time brew.
