Event description

Description

Voice is Youth Media Partner at Brighton Fringe, and we’re looking for opinionated young reviewers aged 16-30 years to see shows for free, publish reviews in our magazine and help us to find the Best Newcomer to Brighton Fringe 2018.

This evening workshop will sharpen your skills and help you up your game as an arts festival reviewer. Voice’s Editor Tom Inniss will outline the best way to tackle fringe reporting – from gaining press entry to popular shows, to analysing performances quickly when a deadline is looming. We’ll discuss the key elements to creating an engaging and insightful review, and run a Q&A session with Voice editors and a previous Voice Reporter to answer your questions about reviewing and tell you more about joining the Brighton Fringe Reviewers team.

Reporting from fringe festivals is an exciting experience! It requires quick thinking, quick writing and good navigation skills. Book your place!

The Fringe Academy aims to create an opportunity for individuals looking to expand their knowledge and understanding of the arts, providing skills based training, advice and support targeted at young people and those looking to work within the arts.
