Event description

Description

Aimed at community/voluntary-led and small-scale festival/events orgnisers, this event will offer insight into how to evidence the impact that your festival makes on the place where it happens. It is often difficult for busy festival organisers to really capture rich qualitative data from your festival community.

This workshop will utilise the expertise of those who research festivals and places at Manchester Metropolitan University to share their knowledge to equip you will skills and techniques to make a stronger case using data that goes beyond anecdotes and gut feelings! This will be a hands-on, practical workshop with aim of translating academic research into places and festivals into practical application that you can implement at your festival.

You will come away armed with ideas of how to capture meaningful data about how your community feel about your festival/events; how it impacts on their lives and community; and how you can turn anecdotes to evidence!
