This family-friendly and interactive recital promises a diverse selection of flute duo repertoire, including meditative lyrical ballads, evocative high-energy controlled chaos and everything in between!

Their programme will take you on a journey through time; from Bach to Bumblebees, and with something for everyone, Anna and Elizabeth are excited to share this music with an audience of familiar and new faces alike.


About The Musicians

London based Anna Ter Haar enjoys a busy freelance career as a flautist, music-therapist and teacher. As a soloist Anna has performed concerti with numerous orchestras including those by Ibert, McNeff, Poulenc (arr. Berkeley), Bach and Haydn. Anna has performed with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the National Concert Orchestra of Great Britain and Southern-Pro Musica amongst other freelance orchestras. She has recorded for BBC radio 2 and 3 and has performed as a soloist live on radio 4. She has participated in orchestral tours across much of Europe and has performed a recital, with wind trio, at the Tokyo Opera House, Japan. Anna is a passionate chamber musician; performing regularly in venues across the UK including Southbank Centre’s Purcell Room as well as outreach projects at Wigmore Hall. Anna graduated from TrinityLaban Conservatoire of Music and Dance with a Masters and First Class Honours degree in 2012, and recently qualified as a music therapist from the University of Roehampton.

Elizabeth Marr is a freelance flautist and teacher, born and brought up in Aberdeen, currently based in London. She graduated with a First Class Honours Bachelors Degree of Music from Trinity Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London studying flute with Anna Noakes, Margaret Campbell and Julian Coward and piccolo with Alan Baker; and has completed her Masters degree at the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague studying with Thies Roorda and Dorine Schade (piccolo).

Elizabeth is on the extra list for Principal Flute with the Birmingham Royal Ballet Orchestra and performs regularly with St Paul’s Sinfonia. She has recently performed solos with the Astor String Quartet and London International Sinfonia. Additionally Elizabeth has participated in Opera de Bauge (2017-18), concerted with the Jersey Chamber Orchestra and Docklands Symphony Orchestra, performed in the Royal Conservatoire of The Hague Symphony Orchestra alongside the Residentie Orchestra for the Reinbert Festival, toured Italy with the International Opera Theatre company premiering the opera Camille Claudel, been a member of The Netherlands Flute Academy (Neflac) flute ensemble and played with Camerata Scotland performing and leading workshops around Scotland.
