Description

Find out about the Scottish experience of caring for shell shocked service personnel. This event, held in collaboration with Napier University War Poets Collection and Scotland's War (1914-1919), will explore the notion of class and how officers and other ranks were treated, as well as social and medical attitudes towards shell-shock. Hear some of the poetry of shell-shock and how it was expressed within the different ranks.

On the panel are Dr Yvonne McEwen from Scotland's War and Catherine Walker MBE, from the War Poets Collection at Napier University

The event will be chaired by Allan Little, BBC Special Correspondent
