Harmony Works is thrilled to open Canada House to the public over multiple events during the Heritage Open Days, sharing the fascinating history of this grand Victorian building and celebrating its exciting future as a new centre for youth music education in Sheffield. Once the headquarters of the Sheffield United Gas Light Company, Canada House has had a varied past, from its role in the Second World War, its reincarnation as an 80s nightclub, and then as an all-you-can-eat Chinese Buffet in the 2000s, this tour will bring visitors up-to-date with plans to regenerate and re-purpose the building once more.

Harmony Works is working to restore and revitalise the currently unused Canada House, a Grade II* listed building in the heart of Sheffield city centre, to create a vibrant and inspirational home for music education and opportunity, enriching and enhancing the lives and futures of young people and their communities across the region

Architect Tom Moore was part of the very first live project which started Harmony Works and much of the early vision, drawings, and subsequent development into feasibility. Matt Beaumont is the Project Architect for Harmony Works and part of the Evans Vettori team taking the scheme forwards.
