About this event

Science & Tech • Science

As UX designers, we often focus on user needs, business goals, and seamless experiences. But what happens when we zoom out — beyond the user, beyond the interface — to consider the ecological and social systems in which our work lives? In this session, UX for Change founder Sandra González will share Innovative Triple-Impact Tactics from Latin America, a reimagined version of Larry Keeley’s Ten Types of Innovation framework. Drawing from the creativity, resilience, and regenerative practices of Latin America, this model weaves environmental and social justice into the very fabric of innovation strategy.

Together, we’ll explore:🌱 What it means to design within planetary boundaries.⚖️ How UX can play a role in shaping equitable, regenerative systems.🔍 Frameworks for thinking holistically about environmental and social impact.

This is not just another talk on “sustainable design.” It’s a call to radically rethink what innovation means — moving away from extractive models toward approaches that prioritise life, community, and shared value.

Expect real-world examples, a living repository of tactics, and meaningful conversations with fellow designers passionate about a just and thriving future.
