Event Details

gas towers over Bath

Join radical collective bread, print & roses for a journey through the backstreets of Bath; exploring the city’s varied history, and the mutual and co-operative enterprises that have thrived in its margins. From the age of Industrial Bath we will explore the divided history of the city and uncover the dynamic range of innovative projects flourishing in Bath today.

We are often told that there is no alternative. The reality is both very different and much more interesting. All over Bath, and throughout history, people have refused to accept the world as it is and have carved out communities, spaces and practices that enable people to flourish. As we walk, and over supper we will ask: what lessons can we take from the past that could accelerate ecological and social revival today?

- 6pm – 9pm, Friday 13th September 2013;
- Ending with a pop-up radical supper in Bath City Farm’s newly restored barn;
- £15 covers the cost of the walk, talk and supper.
