Over the past year, we have taken decisive action to reshape how business support and policy interventions serve female entrepreneurs and drive policy change for female entrepreneurship in York and North Yorkshire. Grounded in insight from our New Era for Female Entrepreneurship research, our collective efforts are already reshaping how business support is delivered and transforming the regional policy ecosystem.
Event Details

Date: Wednesday, 8 October 2025
Time: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (followed by an optional lunch)

Now it is time to build on that momentum – we will celebrate the progress we have made and set out a future agenda which supports female entrepreneurs.
This event will mark a key milestone - showcasing the policy changes already delivered, highlighting what has worked, and how we continue to evaluate the impact.
We will focus on:
- The policy shifts and collaborative actions already shaping a stronger, more inclusive business ecosystem.
- How regional networks have come together to better support women entrepreneurs.
- Next steps for embedding this change across systems, institutions, and communities.
You have been instrumental in driving this change. Now is the time to reflect on what has been achieved, engage with business support networks, and inform future enterprise policy.
A full agenda will follow soon.
Together we will continue to build a regional business ecosystem where all females in enterprises thrive.
