A day of inspiring discussions on the power and value of lived experience when considering how to deliver cancer care and support.

About this Event

The day will include:

Contributions from local mental health and recovery champions who have used their own lived experience to influence policymakers and to shape services.

Insights from cancer care professionals on the challenges and triumphs of welcoming lived experience into strategic decision making and service design and delivery.

An exploration of what it really means to be 'heard' and how to best find your voice.

Special guest workshops on Living Well with Cancer (Maggie's Dundee) and informing service design (Open Change).

This event is suitable for:

People with lived experience of cancer

Anyone involved in supporting people with experiences of cancer, including friends, family members, health professionals, support workers.

Academics, researchers and students

Anyone interested in cancer care

Poster presentations are invited for display during the event. Posters do not have to take standard academic format, and can be related to any topic relevant to lived experience and/or patient involvement in cancer care. Contact us for submission details.

Refreshments will be provided including a buffet lunch and drinks reception following the event.
