Georges and Anne are an octogenarian couple. They are cultivated, retired music teachers. Their daughter, also a musician, lives in Britain with her family. One day, Anne has a stroke, and the couple's bond of love is severely tested.
Join us for a week of health-based film screenings and discussion on the theme of LOVE at Newcastle Medical School on the 13th-17th February 2017.
Doors will open at 6pm and stalls, foyer activities and refreshments will be available from this time.
Creative arts practitioners and charity and health sector workers and groups will exhibit and perform in the David Shaw Lecture Theatre Foyer in the hour before the film starts - please come and join in for the activities and discussion.
Screening & Discussion starts at 7pm prompt: Our expert panel of speakers will deliver a short introduction on their area of specialism ahead of the film screening and will facilitate a Q&A following the film around the themes highlighted.
Screenings are FREE and open to ALL.
Families and children are welcome although film certificates will apply and children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
